Like  a number of other images on the site, this one has always impressed me with its careful attention to composition. Since I've seen the outtakes of this series, I know that Yarka usually only made one or two frames of a given situation, taking the time to arrange their elements  in the strongest way. Here, the dog, the two boys and the building just work. Personally, I see similarities to the work of Cartier-Bresson, though Yarka would be embarrassed to read that. 

I'm not saying she was his equal (few if any were) but they shared a respect for the design of their images, even when photographing a fleeting moment.
